All Mineral have different properties. Mineral are know by their properties.

1.What did you enjoy most about this project and why? I enjoy the most editing the video because I like to work with computers.
2.What was most challenging for you during this project and why?The most challenging thing was putting the picture at the right spot and also find out which mineral is which.
3.What new skills did you learn from doing this project ?I learn how to identify minerals with streak plate and glass plate.4. Is there anything that you could have done to improve any of your work? Explain.I think I could hookup my video by adding music in it if have chance to and I also can be more specific describing minerals, more details because during project we had less time to work on video.

Tides

Tides

Vocabulary

High and Low Tides :      ہائی اور کم لہر
Each day the water level is high 2 time and 2 time low.

Water Level  :    پانی کی سطح
How high or low the water is above or below the sea.

Neap Tide :  مد پست
When water level on earth is equal.

Spring Tide : مدوجزر اعظم
When the water level on earth is its highest and lowest.

Summary

There are HIGH and LOW tides. In high tide water level go two times high and in low tide water level go two times low. Revolution and Gravity cause the tides. Two type of tide are Neap and Spring Tide. In neap tide the Water level on earth is equal. Phases of moon in neap tide are 1st and last Quarter moon. In spring tide the Water level on earth is its highest and lowest. Phases of moon in spring tide are New and Full moon. Differences between neap and spring tides are in neap tide moon, earth and sun make L shape. In spring tide moon, earth and sun make straight line.

CRITICAL THINKING

    QUESTION

How is earth affected by movement (revolution)?
The earth is affected by its movement. Earth rotate on its axis in 24 hours. The rotation cause day and night. The revolution of earth cause the seasons. There are four seasons on earth. Summer, Winter, Fall and Spring. Earth get indirect sunlight and Direct sunlight from sun.  Spring and neap tide happen because of earth movement.

Reflection

1. What did you enjoy most about this project and why?
I enjoy to work with my group members because I understand better from there ideas.
2. What was most challenging for you during this project and why?
Most challenging was to move the picture while filming the video.
3. What new skills did you learn from doing this project?
I learn how to use iMovie.
4. Is there anything that you could have done to improve any of your work? Explain.
Next time I would improve the mistake I made in video. When i put the other picture for equal water level.

Project Reflection
1. What did you enjoy most about this project?
I most enjoy to making the video.
2. What was most challenging about this project? Why?
I think finding the information was litter bit hard because you need to find true stuff about the specific period.
3. What you Change about project and why?
I would change the due date of the project because we could work slow and also learn about other periods.
4. What are 3 thing you learned from this project?
I learn how to make the animoto video.
How to get information and picture from website?
What is reference page? How to make reference page?

The Stars

Star
Stars is big ball that look small from long way away. It is also brighter than sun. Its made up of gas and dusty clouds. Hertz sprung -Russell invented the H-R Diagram. H-R diagram is graphical tool that astronomer use to classify stars according to their luminosity, Spectral class, color, temperature.

There four main type of stars Main Sequence, White Dwarf, Giants and super Giants. Characteristics of stars are temperature, luminosity, color, Spectral class. Nuclear Fusion is reaction of change two hydrogen gas into a helium molecule inside the stars. This is how a star makes energy. All Stars are born from stellar nebula. Stellar Nebula is a could of gases and dust. There is 3 types of stars life. Its life cycle is Red giant, Planetary Nebula, White dwarf, then black dwarf. Another type is huge stars. Its life cycle is Red supergiant, Supernova, then Neutron star. Last is the giant stars, its life cycle is Red super giant, Super nova, then Black hole.

Planet

Mars

Planet Order: 4 from the Sun.
Distance from the Sun: 227.9 Million Km.
Mass 6.4191x 1023Km
Diameter 6794Km
Rotation 24 hours 39 minutes and 35 second
Revolution 685.98 Days
# of Moons 2
Planet Description:

Its like a earth Mars has polar ice caps and clouds in it atmosphere, seasonal weather patterers, volcanes, Canyons  Mars is forth planet from sun. On Mars the land and sky have a red or pink hue.

Interesting Facts:
  • 100 pound man would weight 38 pound on Mars.
  • In Winter night time temperature on Mars can drop as low as -191 F.

Hurricane Irene

Critical Thinking
What effect does water temperature have on the creation a hurricane?
Hurricane get heat and energy through warm ocean. Evaporation from seawater increase its power.

Why would there be more damage to an area during high tide?
Those area might be close to ocean. When tides come it effect more that are than other.

If an area is fully saturated, how will this more dangerous for an area?
During the hurricane it will mostly broke the tree etc. It would be negative effect on the environment.

Why would there be more flooding if the ground was fully saturated?
Then water would not go to under the ground it will stay on the ground. The water keep cycling.

Reflection
What is something that you liked about this mini-project?
I like two things in this project one is to presentation and second is working in group.

What was some difficult for you on this project?
Writing the paragraph for each topic was hard for me.

What would you change about your work on this projects?
I would write better question for worksheets.

How did this project help you learn about hurricane irene?
I learn from this project about causes and effects of Speed of hurricane, Types of tides, process of water cycle, and ground water.
